Sprint Backlog

The set of Product Backlog items selected for the Sprint

Sprint

-A time-box of one month or less during which a "Done", usable, and potentially releasable product Increment is created -Consists of the Sprint Planning, Daily Scrums, the development work, the Sprint Review, and the Sprint Retrospective.

Scrum Master

-Ensure that the Scrum Team adheres to Scrum theory, practices, and rules -Helps outsiders understand which interactions with the Scrum Team are helpful and which -Serves the Product Owner, Development Team, and Organization

Members of Scrum Team

-Product Owner -Development Team -Scrum Master

Product Owner

-Responsible for maximizing the value of the product and the work of the Development Team. -Manages the Product Backlog

Sprint Planning

-The entire Scrum Team gets together to plan the work to be performed in the Sprint. -Forecasts the Product Backlog items it will deliver in the Sprint

Three pillars of empirical process control

1. Transparency 2. Inspection 3. Adaption

Daily Scrum

A 15-minute time-boxed event for the Development Team to Synchronize activities and create a plan for the next 24 hours

Transparency

A common standard so observers share a common understanding of what is being seen

Scrum

A framework within which people can address complex adaptive problems, while productively and creatively delivering products of the highest possible value.

Development Team

A team of professionals who do the work of delivering a potentially releasable Increment of "Done" product at the end of each Sprint

Adaption

An adjustment to aspects of a process that deviate from acceptable limits

Sprint Goal

An objective set for the Sprint that can be met through the implementation of Product Backlog. The Product Backlog items deliver one coherent function.

Inspection

Frequent review of Scrum artifacts and progress toward a Sprint Goal to detect undesirable variances

Sprint Review

Held at the end of the Sprint to inspect the Increment and adapt the Product Backlog if needed. Stakeholders and the Scrum Team are at the meeting.

Product Backlog

Ordered list of everything that might be needed in the product and is the single source of requirements for any changes to be made to the product

Sprint Retrospective

Scrum Team creates a plan for improvements to be enacted during the next Sprint after the Sprint Review, but before the next Sprint Planning
