• develop accurate, realistic image of your academic strengths/weaknesses, skills, etc. • make personal commitment to have ALL assignments in ON TIME

• learning takes time, plan ahead to study to do well in classes • be an active learner by studying regularly, instead of putting it off until last minute. • use effective strategies for deeper, lasting learning rather than just memorization

• when things don't turn out like planned, figure what went wrong or got in the way and make appropriate changes • when you succeed in learning and getting good grades, pay attention to what helped you get there and keep doing those things.
