I think the crisis has opened many new arguments about immigration. It effected US attitudes in good ways and bad. some people think more immigrants should be let in after it and some think the opposite. Still many people and organizations have helped the refugees and that lead to helping the immigrants too.

Islamophobia has made the experience of US Muslims bad because people act racist to them and they don't feel accepted into our society.

People say it hurts the economy because undocumented immigrants are illegal, and they don't pay taxes. Also, they are affecting the minimum wage and taking peoples jobs. Others say it is good because they don't have to pay them that much money and they don't get citizen things.

The government made a patriot act which made it easier for the government to get information. for 2 moths after 9/11 no refugees where allowed in. They soon faced extra scrutiny and suspicion. They faced skepticism, Isolation, and interrogation.
