The Preamble
"We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."

1865 - Abolished Slavery
18th Amendment
1919 - Alcohol is prohibited
19th Amendment
1920 - Women get the right to vote
21st Amendment
1933 - It is no longer illegal to drink Alcohol. The 18th amendment is struck down.
22nd Amendment
1951 - A president can only serve 2 terms in office

Encourage what is good for ALL people guarantee life liberty and the pursuit of happiness provide for the citizens of the united states

Ensure domestic tranquility
Guarantee a peaceful existence within the united states

Guarantee an adequate defense against those who would be out enemies
Secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity
Guarantee our freedom and make certain that our children and out children's children have those same freedoms
Establish justice
Guarantee that all people treated fairly under the same laws
