o Cause: the Fredonian Revolt was a small incident that wasn't supported by Texas Anglos; however, Mexico thought it was a scheme for the U.S. to acquire Texas because US had already attempted to buy Texas from Mexico in 1827 and also in 1829. So in 1828, Mexico sends Mier y Teran to tour Texas & issue a report about the area.
