Wardrobe Crew
people who assists actors with hair and costume changes, laundering costumes, and making repairs.
Electrics Crew
people who hang and focus the lights for the show; also may include the light board operator
Stagehands/Grips
people who help to maintain scenery and change scenery during a show
House Manager
person responsible for distribution of programs, seating of audience, and training of ushers
Props Master/Props Chief
person responsible for for the design/construction/acquisition of various functional/decorative props for a production.
Assistant Director
person who acts as the liaison between the director and cast and who takes charge of the rehearsal when the director is absent
Lighting Designer
person who creates the lighting plot and cues for the show; decides on gel colors and types of lighting
Set Designer
person who decides how the scenery will look and how it will be built; choses paints, colors and all materials; produces renderings and scale drawings for the technical director to use in construction
Publicity Manager
person who handles the advertising and promotion of a play in the press and in other media
Prompter
person who keeps the director's promptbook and makes notes on cues; feeds actors lines if needed
Stage Manager
someone responsible for organization, preparation, recording and running of show. Calls a show for cues and transitions, and keeps consistency accurate from show to show. Works very closely with actors, technicians, and the director.
Producer
someone who finds financing for and supervises the making and presentation of a show.
Director
someone who supervises the actors and directs the action in the production of a show; the "visionary" for the show
Costume Designer
the person who creates costumes for actors to help define and express character; works with the director and creates renderings of what costumes should look like.
Sound Designer
The person responsible for the design, recording, and playback of all recorded sound effects used in a production, and the mixing of microphones.
Technical Director
The person who coordinates, schedules, and engineers all the technical elements of a production.
