Effect of Title IX

It improved the sporting opportunities and resources available for women at both the high school level and at institutions of higher education. Sexual Harassment

Sexual harassment is a form of prohibited sex discrimination under Title IX. There are two types: 1) Quid Pro Quo (This for that) 2) Hostile environment Sexual and/or romantic relationships between managers and their staff are not appropriate. Unequal power relations

Effect of Title IX

Title IX prohibited sex discrimination in educational institutions receiving federal funds from the United States government. It outlawed sex separate physical education classes and stated that schools had to provide either equal sport teams for girls or let the girls try out with the boys. However, schools were not required to sponsor coed teams in contact sports like football.
