ESCAPE ROPE - diameter is 1-9/64" (7.5 mm) - less than 3/8" (9.5 mm) with a minimum breaking strength of 3034 pounds and a maximum safe working load of 300 pounds (intended only for emergency self-rescue situations). THROW LINE - diameter criteria is the same as escape rope with a minimum breaking strength of 3000 pounds.
