What is a personal fact sheet?
A personal fact sheet is a brief written summary of key facts that will help you fill out applications, prepare job resumes, and letters of applications.
Under WORK EXPERIENCE always list the most recent employer when?
Always list the most recent employer FIRST.
When you pick up or drop off an application, be prepared to do what?

before filling out one word. Know what is being asked before you start writing.
What color ink pen should you use when filling out job applications?
black or blue ink pen
When picking up an application in person how many applications should you ask for and why?
Two in case you mess up on the first one
What word should you avoid putting on the application when asked about a desired position?
"anything" You want to appear you have a goal in mind. You do not want to appear desperate.
Identify one acceptable reason for the question, "why did you leave your previous job?"
Acceptable answers include... "school conflict," "conflicting hours," "better opportunities for advancement," "lack of work," OR "seasonal employment."
What is chronological order?
Listing the most recent first... For example, if I asked you to put your schools attended in chronological order, you would list your... high school first, then middle school, then elementary school
Answer all questions on an application. If it does not apply to you, what should you put?
N/A Not Applicable For example: military and college If you have never had a job before you will put N/A in the work experience sections.
Should you mark things out on an application?
No (and a BIG blob of white out is not any better!) :-)
What documentation should you have with you when you fill out a job application?
Social Security number Driver license number Phone numbers and addresses for references Phone number and address for schools attended
First impressions are made when?
The first time they see you. OR When you pick up or return the application.
Who should you NOT use as a reference?
family members and friends (who are 18 and under)
