Southern hospitality helped make the Olympics a success. Thousands of volunteers helped make venues run smoothly. The competition at each venue was unparalleled and excellent. Visitors were able to witness the state's diversity, graciousness, and experience our version of "southern hospitality."

Whites would close down their businesses rather than allow black people to integrate and enjoy the same areas as whites.

With different cultures come different skills, and immigrants all coming from many different places have skills driven from their traditions and culture, like self owned businesses that sell different products for different races and ethnic groups making GA's economy more diverse

Describe how GA might be different without our immigrant communities.

Without immigrant communities GA would most likely be less diverse, and the economy wouldn't be as good as it is now because immigrants make up a lot of money for GA with their self owned businesses and other money making tactics, especially given how they bring their cultural differences along with them.

Bus stations, libraries, and lunch counters reserved for White Americans were occupied by African Americans, boycotts were launched, and hundreds of protesters marched on City Hall.
