Before two daughter cells begin to separate in the last step of mitosis, a cleavage furrow begins to form between the cells. This cleavage furrow is a contractile ring of microfilaments.
Cytokinesis: ANIMAL
Cleavage of an animal cell -contractile ring of micrfilaments
