What is a congruent triangle?

A triangle where all corresponding sides are equal in length and corresponding angles are equal in measure. These triangles have the exact same shape and size.

What is the Reflexive Property?

ABC = ABC Every triangle is equal to itself.

What is the CPCTC Theorem?

An abbreviation that stands for "Corresponding Parts of Congruent Triangles are Congruent". If two triangles are congruent, each side or angle of one triangle is congruent to the corresponding side or angle of the other triangle.

What is a congruence transformation?

An action that can be performed on a geometric object without changing its size or shape. Specific ones include rotations (turns), translations (slides), and reflections (flips).

What does congruent mean?

Having the same shape and same size. The symbol ≅ means "congruent to".

What is the Transitive Property?

If a=b and b=c, then a=c In a chain of congruence statements, the first triangle is always congruent to the last one.
