netstat

A TCP/IP troubleshooting utility that displays statistics and the state of current TCP/IP connections. It also displays ports, which can signal whether services are using the correct ports.

tasklist

A Windows command that returns the process identifier (PID), which is a number that identifies each running process.

taskkill

A Windows command that uses the process PID to kill a process. taskkill /f /pid 20184(example)

chkdsk /r

A Windows command to check the hard drive for errors and repair the file system.

chkdsk /f

A Windows command to verify that the hard drive does not have bad sectors that can corrupt the file system.

netsh (command)

A built-in command-line scripting utility that enables you to display and modify the network configurations of the local computer.

tracert

A command that determines the route data takes to get to a particular destination.

shutdown /a

Abort shutdown

Netstat -ano option

Displays TCP and UDP connections.

assoc

Displays or modifies file extension associations.

ipconfig /flushdns

Flush the DNS resolver cache

ping -t

Ping continuously until stopped with Ctrl+C

sfc /scannow

Scans integrity of all protected system files and repairs files with problems when possible.

tracert -d (command)

Shows paths to a destination on another network numerically.

shutdown /r /t nn

Shutdown and restart after nn seconds

ipconfig

Windows command that shows the IP configuration settings on a PC/default gateway

nslookup

a tool used to query the DNS system to find the IP addresses for domain names, and vice versa

get mac /v
