The New Deal, Twenty- First Amendment

During the campaign, FDR had promised the American people a "New Deal." He organized programs designed to put people back to work and to heal the nation's troubled financial system.On December 5, 1933, the Twenty-First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution was ratified, ending Prohibition.

Franklin Delano Roosevelt
