It targets children because when you are young you are more easily influenced and if they make it in a children's book, they are likely to trust it.

The message is that you can't trust Jews for what they say.

The stereotype that is used is that you can't trust Jews and that there word means nothing.
How does the timing of this book, published in 1936, coincide with the Holocaust? Why is that important?
The timing of the books helps sway kids towards the NAZI's because there parents are wanting to win the war and if they get kids support, they could be able to keep the prejudice alive for the next generation.
What can you do to counter such images and messages?
We can counter the images and messages by making sure everyone knows that they are false and that they teach kids that it is wrong.
