The ancestral pueblos (southwest Indians) were more sedentary and lived in stone and adobe houses. -they created hundreds of miles of roads that connected to other villages in the region On the other hand, the southwest Indians (Navajo and Apache) were nomadic, because they hunted and gathered, and made less permanent houses out of mud and bark -didn't urbanize their region
