ASA V
These patients are moribund and not expected to survive more than 24 hours without surgery. These patients are almost always are hospitalized and terminally ill.

Type 2 diabetes (well controlled)

have an incapacitating systemic disease that is a constant threat to their lives. They have severe medical problems that are of greater significance to their health than the planned dental treatment.

• Severe heart failure or COPD requiring constant oxygen.
