Anaphase

AWAY from each other The chromosomes split and separate. One set of chromosomes is pulled to one end of the cell. The other set or chromosomes is pulled to the other end of the cell Chromosomes become separate chromatids

Telophase

Animal cell pinches together. Nuclear membranes reform around chromosomes.

Prophase

The nuclear membrane in parent cell disappears. Chromosomes can be seen under the microscope, chromatin form bar like chromosomes

Interphase

long period in which the cell grows and carries out its usual activities

What is the difference in mitosis and meosis?

meosis yield four daughter cells that are genetically different and it happens in sex organs to create gametes for sperm and eggs where as mitosis has 2 daughter cells that are the same

two events of cell division?

mitosis and cytokinesis

what is the product of mitosis?

two daughter nuclei that are genetically identical to the nucleus

cell division

when the cell reproduces itself by dividing

what are the four stages of mitosis in order??

PMAT prophase metaphase anaphase telophase

Metaphase

The chromosomes line up in the center of the cell, centrosomes are at opposite poles of the cell

begins during late phase of anaphase and continues through and beyond telophase?

cytokinesis

mitosis

division of the copied DNA of the mother cell to two daughter cells

cytokinesis

division of the cytoplasm which begins when mitosis is complete
