Urinary Catheter

A thin tube inserted into the bladder in order to drain or collect urine

Catheter

A thin tube inserted into the body to drain or inject fluids

Indwelling Catheter

A type of catheter that remains inside the bladder for a period of time; urine drains into a bag

Straight Catheter

A catheter that does not remain inside the person; it is removed immediately after urine is drained or collected

Condom Catheter

Catheter that has an attachment on the end that fits onto the penis; also called external of Texas catheter

Flammable

Easily ignited and capable of burning quickly

Oxygen Therapy

The administration of oxygen to increase the supply of oxygen to blood

Intravenous Therapy (IV)

The delivery of medication, nutrition, or fluids through s person's vein

Combustion

The process of burning oxygen
