critical thinking
is a concept embedded not only in a core body of research over the last 30 to 50 years but also derived from two Greek words "kriticos" (critical) (meaning discerning judgment) and "kriterion" (meaning standards). Etymologically, the word implies the development of "discerning judgment based on standards."
Critical thinking
is the analysis of an issue or situation and the facts, data or evidence related to it. -CT is to be done objectively--meaning without influence from personal feelings, opinions or biases--and it focuses solely on factual information.
