Middle Colonies

New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware. The southern colonies relied on growing crops such as sugarcane, rice, Cotton, tobacco, and indigo. The southern colonists had recourses including good farmland and lumber. the major difference between new england and middle colonies was the quality of land. the middle colonies had rich farmland and a moderate climate, which made farming easier than it was in New England. Many people made their livings raising live stock or growing grain.

Southern Regional Colony

South Caroline, North Carolina, Maryland, Virginia, and Georgia. The planters supported by slave labor held most of the political power and owned the best land. They built large houses and kept in touch best they could with the world of culture overseas. Charleston south carolina became the leading port and trading center of the south. Forests also brought revenue, lumber, tar, they provided some of the best shipbuilding materials in the world

New England Colonies

The new england colony was mainly dependent on the ocean. Importing and exporting goods, ship building, fishing, and trapping were also main factors to the economy. The new England colonies are Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire. The vast majority of New Englanders were white, english, extremely religious and enjoyed large families.
