Compound Predicate
A simple sentence that contains two or more simple predicates (verbs) with the same subject (noun).
Compound Subject
A simple sentence that contains two or more simple subjects (nouns) with the same predicate (verb).
Compound Sentence
Made up of two or more simple sentences joined by a comma and a conjunction or a semicolon (;)
Simple Sentence with Compound Subject & Predicate
Tom and Sue went to the football game and ate a hamburger.
Simple Sentence with Compound Subject

one subject and one verb; both can be compound
