Supervision

The provision of oversight and includes maintaining accountability to determining whether or not nursing care is adequate. Includes assessments, evaluation, responses to nurse care plan and evaluation of competence of persons providing nursing care

Delegation

The transfer of the authority, responsibility to perform some type of task or work while retaining accountability for the outcome Care itself is not delegated Transfer of responsibility for the performance of a task from one individual to another while retaining the accountability for the outcome
