"The first 10 amendments to the Constitution make up the Bill of Rights. The Bill of Rights protects and guarantees your rights as a citizen of the United States.

Why do you care about the Bill of Rights?

1. Government need to look out for their citizens. The Bill of Rights made sure the rights of U.S. citizens would always be protected. 2. It's important to compromise. Even though the Federalists and the Anti-Federalists didn't always agree, they still worked together for the good of the people. 3. Change and improvement are important in life. The Bill of Rights improved the Constitution. 4.We can get good ideas from everyone. James Madison looked at many different sources to get ideas for the Bill of Rights. 5.People can have different opinions, and that's okay. The Bill of Rights allows U.S. citizens to say what they think without fear of arrest.
