Squared
Any number that is multiplied by itself two times (7 x 7) = 49
Base
The number that is going to get multiplied by the exponent
Adding Exponents (not a definition)
To add any exponents, you first have to have a common base.
Dividing Exponents (not a definition)
To divide any exponents, you just have to subtract the exponents.
Multiplying Exponents (not a definition)
To multiply any exponents, you just have to add the exponents.
Subtracting Exponents (not a definition)
To subtract any exponents, you first have to have a common base (same thing as adding exponents but you subtract).
Negative Exponents on the bottom (not a definition)
You can never have negative exponents. So, you move the exponent in the denominator to the numerator.
