Fidel Castro had many different contributions to society. He often sent military troops for support to different countries. A few examples of those times are: In 1975 Castro sent his troops to Angola to support a revolutionary army. Then in 1977 he sent troops to Ethiopia to help prevent invasion by Somalia. In 1982 he sent troops to Afghanistan to help the Soviets. These are just a few examples of the things Castro did over a few years.

Achieving Fame #2

In 1950, Fidel Castro graduated from the University of Havana with a law degree and opened his own law firm. In 1952, he decided to run for election to the Cuban House of Representatives. Unfortunately, troops led by Batista stopped the election and ended the democracy in Cuba. Castro also supported many revolutionary movements in several different countries.
