- The characters names were brought up in a very natural way. Saiid wrote his name on the car. Hubert was boxing, and the other character had a ring on. The names were shown not on the screen distinctly or in a flashy way, it was more organic.

Higher amount of wealth, lower amounts of crime and peopel go there to escape those things. They move to suburban areas for the hopes of a wealthy neighborhood and less crime.

- Pierre tries to control the situation, and Francois is the one to be mocked, however the roles get reversed sometimes. Francois sometimes takes over, like when Pierre hurts his back so Francois was going to help me go to the doctors. Francois hurts Pierre worse instead of helping. - Francois calls people, trying to be the Belgium film producer, and at the end of the scene gives away too much information including Pierre's phone number which destroeyd the whole phone call. It was unintentionally a power dynamic reversal.

What were the environments like in the film, and in what way did they play a role in the story itself?

- The environments were rough and empty. People pass through the neigboorhoods. The film is set in black and white, because there are two sides to the story (authority vs the people). - The boys go through constricting areas, the areas are very under kept because of the riots. Here are several shots from the camera coming close int he scene or far away. The city of Paris was consuming the boys. - The color of the film made things dark and grim, the black and white nature made the film separated the different situations in the characters and the issues surrounded them. The black and white made the film very controvesial with the scenes.

- The man who falls down the skyscraper, " so far so good". -- The point is not how you fall that matters its how you land. He relates to society and freefall.

Algeria for a long time was the biggest colonly for the French. In its role during ww2, it had the biggest amount of human resources. They brought huge human populations to France, and made up a big portion of the people in France. Algeria was once a colony, and in forms of citizenship it was not orginially granted fully citizenship for France.

Why does Hubert end up taking back his goal of staying out of violent, unstable situations?

As time when on, and once Vince got the gun, they found themselves extremely alienated and they felt alone. He felt internally conflcited and peopel were not there to look out for them or to preserve their safety.

He is most frequently tied to U.S. culture and his forms of U.S. music. Him and soceity made a reference to U.S. films. Vince acts out several U.S. movies and talking outloud about it. He acts like a tough person , justice, and retrubition. However, he acts like he is playing a part ( in a movie) or doign it for someone else.

Him building things with match sticks made him out to be an idiot to everyone and Francois. Francios pruopsefully choses him because of how indepth he went about his match stick hobby for building famous buildings and such.

Saiid wanted to know how they got the car into Hubert's boxing gym. He plays an intrmidate role and he was curious about things, at the same time he could look out for people. He was always involved in multiple perspectives somehow.

That it is a wealthy elite class of people who are very trained in forms of conversations, and they would find someone to exploit who doesn't quiet get " it". The elite would judge the idiots, and the person who brought the biggest idiot would win the game.

The French are trained at an early age to have dialectical thinking with the 3 dimensional model, and in America it is the two dialectical model. The way the two models operation is " the question and answer", but in France they feel as though they are participating in finding a solution with the 3 dimensional model. The French do not like mundane conversations, and the French tend to be more controtasional because of this, where as in the U.S. they gravitate towards a consensus.

The peach is soft on the otuside, and hard on the inside ( U.S.) The conconuts are hard on the outside and soft on the inside ( France). People are peaches and French are coconuts.

The tax auditor showed up, and Pierre was trying to dodge his taxes. The tax adutior didn't seem to rreally care at first because Francois and him are friends. However, he goes down the bathroom in the house and all Pierre's items and fidning out his wife is cheating on him he gets angry and decides to audit Pierrre. He says he will be bacl.

Why do the three friends attempt to steal a car in Paris?

They were stranded in a nieghborhood that was dangerous for the boys. The trains had stopped running and they needed a way out from the danger of that part of the city.
