What are the three primary stages of a midlatitude cyclone? Describe the weather associated with each stage.
First stage: Open - precip occurs only along warm and cold fronts, with clear warm sector in between each advancing front. Occluded stage happens when cold front caught up with warm front and massive lifting of all air in front of cold front occured. Dissolving or closing stage occurs when cold front has lifted all air in storm that no warm, humid air can be lifted into storm.
