Government Operations Center
A physical site where emergency management and agency partners coordinate support for community response and recovery operations Purpose: to provide a setting for inter agency coordination, resource management, planning, and communication with other government operations centers and incident command posts
Disaster Operations
A temporary field-based structure that provides a central location for the coordination of Red Cross efforts and resources for preparedness, response, and recovery Operation structure is organized, staffed, and managed in a manner consistent with adapted principles; led by a designated disaster leadership team, often located at operation HQ
Federal Instrumentality
