Using Quizlet effectively

Live

This lets you work in groups and compete with each other.

Scatter

Puts a number of card pairs on the screen. You drag (with a mouse) one card to another. If they match both cards disappear.

Flash Cards

The main way quizlet is used. Question on one side answer on the other. You can set what side displays first from the "start with" options on right. It is best to start with "Terms" rather than "Definitions"

Test

This generates a random multichoice test from your card. This is computer produced and not very good multichoice questions.

Making your own

This is by far the best. You will learn lots by making them. Make the question clear on what it is asking. Keep the answers brief: less than 5 lines of typing.
