word family (n)
A group of words that share a common base to which different prefixes and suffixes are added. For example, members of the word family based on the headword work include rework, worker, working, workshop, and workmanship, among others.

If a government legislates, it makes a new law
correlate (v)
If two or more facts, numbers, etc. correlate or are correlated, there is a relationship between them
apparatus (n)
a set of equipment or tools or a machine that is used for a particular purpose

a group of words in a fixed order that have a particular meaning that is different from the meanings of each word on its own
prefix (n)
