cartilaginous joints

-no synovial cavity. -the bones are held together by cartilage.

Fibrous joints

-no synovial cavity. -the bones are held together by dense irregular connective tissue. -rich in collagen fibres.

synovial joints

-there is a synovial cavity. -the bones unite by the dense irregular connective tissue of an articular capsule, often by accessory ligaments.
