Volumnius

A friend of Brutus and soldier in his army. refuses to hold a sword so that Brutus can run on to it

Strato

A loyal servant of Brutus who holds his sword so that Brutus can run on to it and kill himself

Lepidus

A member of the triumvirate with Antony and Octavius. He is poorly thought of by Antony who uses him to run errands

Pindarus

A slave of Cassius who relays incorrect information to him regarding Titinius being captured when, in fact, he was being greeted by his own army

Octavius

The final member of the trimverate. He is nephew to Ceasar and his heir. With Antony, he defeats Brutus and Cassius at Philippi

Messala

a soldier serving under Brutus and Cassius; reports the death of Portia to Brutus at Sardis and finds Cassius body and also talked to Cassius about omens

Cassius

birthday on the day of war, Fights Antony in the war (fighting on the left side of his field), kills himself because he thinks Titinius has been taken hostage

Brutus

fights Octavius in the war and wins, loses when he is fighting Antony; though throughout the play he views suicide as cowardly and vile because people kill themselves to avoid what might happen, he ends up committing suicide to avoid being taken prisoner by Antony

Varrus and Claudio

guarded the Brutus tent

Titinius

sent by Cassius to go see if some men were there friends or enemies and then gets off his horse and the people cheer; when he gets back and sees Cassius' dead body he sends Messala away and kills himself

Pindarus

slave of Cassius that looks on the hill to tell Cassius what is going on with Titinius, helps Cassius committ suicide by stabbing him (Cassius asked him to) while Cassius turns his head away

Lucillus

soldier that runs around and shouts that he is Brutus to distract the other side from finding the real Brutus, captured by Antony's men, Antony tells the men to treat the soldier with kindness

Mark Antony

Becomes one of the triumvirs and is partially responsible for the defeat of Brutus and Cassius at Philippi

Young Cato

Brother of Portia and son of Marcus Cato. He dies during the second battle at Philippi

Clitus & Dardanius

Brutus' servants who refuse his request to kill him while ast the batt

Lucilius

Brutus' serving boy who he treats kindly; plays the harp for Brutus but falls asleep while doing it and then Brutus moves the instrument so the serving boy wouldn't break it in his sleep
