a formal group of organization members who interact with one another to accomplish most of the organization's non-routine tasks

Ajourning
fifth and last stage in team development, team members are disappointed that the team is breaking up & loss of relationships/enjoyable work situtation

forming
the first stage of team development, in which team members meet each other, form initial impressions, and begin to establish team norms
Performing
the fourth and final stage of team development, in which performance improves because the team has matured into an effective, fully functioning team
norming
third stage of team development cycle, conflicts are resolved, close relationships develop, and unity and harmony emerge

friendship group
an informal group that forms in organizations because of personal affiliation members have with each other

mode of thinking that group members engage in when the desire for agreement dominates the group & it overrides the need to come up with solutions
