Math Laws
Negitve Exponent Law
Dividing is the inverse (opposite) of Multiplying. A negative exponent means how many times to divide by the number.
Law For Raising A Product To A Power
If bases are different, but the exponents are the same, keep the exponents and multiply the bases.
Law For Raising A Power To A Power ("double exponent")
Keep the base and multiply the exponents.
Zero Exponent Law
The zero exponent rule basically says that any base with an exponent of zero is equal to one.
Divison Law
When Dividing the same base , keep to subtract the exponents together.
Multiplication Law
When Multiplying the same base , keep to add the exponents together.
Law For Raising A Quotient To A Power
When multiplying like bases, keep the base the same and add the exponents.
