Negitve Exponent Law

Dividing is the inverse (opposite) of Multiplying. A negative exponent means how many times to divide by the number.

Law For Raising A Product To A Power

If bases are different, but the exponents are the same, keep the exponents and multiply the bases.

Law For Raising A Power To A Power ("double exponent")

Keep the base and multiply the exponents.

Zero Exponent Law

The zero exponent rule basically says that any base with an exponent of zero is equal to one.

Divison Law

When Dividing the same base , keep to subtract the exponents together.

Multiplication Law

When Multiplying the same base , keep to add the exponents together.

Law For Raising A Quotient To A Power

When multiplying like bases, keep the base the same and add the exponents.
