output device

An output device is the result of an input device.

printer

Printers are another outout device, by showing the results made on a monitor. Exampes of printers include Laser printers that quiet expensive but have high quality in printing and are silent and fast. Another example being Ink-jet printers, hey offer black and white or colour printing with reduced levels of quality and speed. Colour ink jet printers are cheaper to buy than colour laser printers.

Monitor

a monitor is an example of an output device, by showing the results on a screen from the input devices of the computer.Examples being an LCD screen and a TFT.

plotter

a plotter is another example of an output device. A plotter can be used to produce high quality, accurate, A3 size or bigger drawings. They are usually used for Computer Aided Design (CAD) [Computer Aided Design (CAD) software: used extensively in the automotive industry, aerospace industry, and in architectural design to draw 2D and 3D designs ] and Computer Aided Manufacture (CAM) applications [application: applications serve a specific purpose, eg Microsoft Word is used for word processing ], such as printing out plans for houses or car parts.

speaker

a speaker is another example of an output device. They let out sound from an input device, for example ot concerts the voice will be put into a microphone and set out loud by speakers.
