Blacks and white people can't play games together, can't get married, a black person can't be handcuffed to a white person in jail.

Why is Plessy v. Ferguson so important?

It allowed states to create segregation laws because now the top court in our country said it's ok. This legally allows segregation for the next 60 years according to this decision segregation is not against the constitution.

Why was this such an important decision?

It's important because Plessy vs. Ferguson was overturned. This means that segregation can be fought in the courts now.
