enemies that you know are bad, but a fake friend who stabs you in the back is worse

be slow in choosing a friend and slower in changing

friendships should be developed slowly and friends should stay faithful to each other

three may keep a secret if 2 of them are dead

if you want to keep a secret don't tell anybody

genuis without education is like silver in the mine

intelligence is worthless if it isn't developed with education

it is easier to prevent bad habits than to break them

its better to never start a bad habit than try to break bad habit

the doors of wisdom are never shut

there is always something new to learn

a slip of the foot may soon recover, but a slip of the tounge you may never get over

tripping and falling might hurt for little while, but saying the wrong thing can cause pain that never heals

dost thou love life? then do not squander time for that's the stuff life is made of

wasting time is like wasting life

you need to work at making life better. just hoping for things will change nothing
