Operations can also modify and change aspects of the rules without amending code and going through lengthly QA processes that would be present if they existed in one single "blob" of application. BPM suite includes BRMS but includes additional tools and runtime support for Business Process Model and Notation v2.0 (BPMN2)-compliant business processes.

As well as replication and caching, it provides fast and reliable access to data. It may also be used to relieve overloaded databases and improve performance of database queries, transactions and events. Delivering data faster can potentially result in faster decision making (e.g. retrieving recent account activity for card fraud detection systems) and better performing customer/channel facing applications.

What is Red Hat JBoss Data Virtualization?

Data Virtualization provides a common view or put simply a "Single source of truth" from data contained in disparate databases or applications. Rather than having applications access wildly different types of data, stored in different formats (eg. Oracle DB, SQL, even CSV or Excel files), from different parts of the corporate infrastructure, Data Virtualization presents them to Applications/Users as a single virtual database that can be accessed like any other. It transforms data that the corporate environment into information it needs.
