Red Hat Product: Fundamentals Quizlet
What are Red Hat JBoss BRMS and BPM Suite?
Both of these solutions are designed to automate business processes and decisions. By having a rules management system that can handle complex events, manual errors can be eliminated and speed of processing drastically increased. BRMS or Business Rules Management enables the capture of business logic and automation of decisions. Application development can also dramatically increase as a result of separating this business logic from application code. Operations can also modify and change aspects of the rules without amending code and going through lengthly QA processes that would be present if they existed in one single "blob" of application. BPM suite includes BRMS but includes additional tools and runtime support for Business Process Model and Notation v2.0 (BPMN2)-compliant business processes.

What is 3Scale API Management?
3Scale is a smart, scalable API management platform. Firstly, it delivers access control features to identify and control who, how often and how much someone can utilize an API. As well as rate limits and security, it also provides powerful analytics based on accounts, applications and services, giving detailed insights with clear reporting. As well as a developer portal that allows quick and easy creation of API keys, monetization tools are also provided which integrate into payment traffic (eg. Stripe, Braintree). Pricing rules, invoicing and collection is also made simple with a PCI compliant system.
What is the difference between Ansible and Ansible Tower?
Ansible is command-line only and has no user interface. Ansible Tower is a comprehensive web based interface which provides powerful management, dashboard and reporting capabilities as well as scheduling. Tower also includes vital enterprise integration features such as API access, user directory (LDAP, Active Directory) and cloud integration capabilities. RedHat sells Ansible Tower. Ansible (Command line) is available as a free download.
What is Ansible?
Ansible seamlessly unites workflow orchestration with configuration management, provisioning, and application deployment in one easy to use and deploy platform. Ansible can automate most manual tasks using what are called Playbooks. Playbooks are a little like scripts which, among other things, tell Ansible what to do (e.g. Which commands to run and in what order). The product name in relation to Red Hat is Ansible Tower.
What is Red Hat Insights?
Based on intelligence gleaned from running systems, Insights analyzes information to provide a real-time assessment of risks relating to performance, availability, stability and security. Analysis results are provided in a clear, easy to use interface, detailing which issues are the most critical. It includes links to solutions and relative knowledge base articles that may also assist. Insights is included in a number of bundled offerings, such as RHCI.
What is Red Hat JBoss Data Grid?
Data Grid is known as an "in memory" data grid solution. It can store frequently accessed data in memory, which can be thousands of times faster than a disk-based database. As well as replication and caching, it provides fast and reliable access to data. It may also be used to relieve overloaded databases and improve performance of database queries, transactions and events. Delivering data faster can potentially result in faster decision making (e.g. retrieving recent account activity for card fraud detection systems) and better performing customer/channel facing applications.
What is Red Hat JBoss Data Virtualization?
Data Virtualization provides a common view or put simply a "Single source of truth" from data contained in disparate databases or applications. Rather than having applications access wildly different types of data, stored in different formats (eg. Oracle DB, SQL, even CSV or Excel files), from different parts of the corporate infrastructure, Data Virtualization presents them to Applications/Users as a single virtual database that can be accessed like any other. It transforms data that the corporate environment into information it needs.
What is RHEL Atomic Host?
Derived from RHEL, Atomic Host is a secure, lightweight, and minimal-footprint operating system optimized to run Linux containers.
What is CloudForms?
Helps customers understand what they have and control it. Works with Virtualization platforms, private or public cloud platforms. Insures compliance and governance.
Why do we have to mention Red Hat before JBoss?
It is the official product name - and it helps solidify it as an enterprise grade offering.
What is Red Hat Enterprise MRG Realtime?
MRG Realtime is a platform for applications that requires deterministic responses to events. Areas that require such predictable timing include financial, telecommunication and military applications. Given these special requirements, MRG includes replacement kernel and tools for monitoring and tuning of applications that will run on it. NOTE - Given the specialized nature of MRG you should focus on RHEL rather than a specific version of it. It is very likely that MRG will not be relevant to your opportunity and a Solution Architect is best placed to make a decision on it's suitability after assessing needs.
Is Red Hat JBoss Data Virtualization a replication of data?
No, it does not replicate information or cache it. As a virtual database it simply handles information. Think of it as a butler or waiter, responding to requests and returning what has been requested.
What is OpenShift Container Platform?
OpenShift Container Platform is an application platform that helps organizations to: * Develop and test with the OpenShift Development Environment, which includes a wide variety of technologies from MySQL to Python and Node.js * Deploy and scale applications quickly * Manage existing and container-based applications seamlessly across physical, virtual, and public cloud infrastructures
What is Red Hat directory Server?
Red Hat Directory Service is designed to centralize user identity and application information. As an LDAP based directory, it provides a single authentication source across an enterprise, deployable in a high availability fashion to ensure that the simple but mission critical authentication process is resilient. As well as supporting LDAP, it also supports multiple authentication methods, from user ID and password through to X.509v3 public certificates.
What is Red Hat JBoss EAP?
Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform (EAP) is the leading open source platform for dynamic Java applications and also the foundation of JBoss Middleware. It is designed to be developed on with Red Hat JBoss Developer Studio and monitored and managed with JON (JBoss Operations Network).
What is Red Hat Single Sign On (SSO)?
Red Hat Single Sign On provides SSO capabilities around popular standards (SAML, OpenID, OAuth). What is the Red Hat Satellite Starter Pack?
The starter pack has the same capabilities as Red Hat Satellite Server, but is limited to manage 50 RHEL systems (both physical and virtual apply). Managing above 50 systems requires a regular satellite server subscription.
What are Red Hat JBoss Fuse and A-MQ?
These are often talked about as a pair. These products integrate any application, data or device. For example, Fuse can be used to connect a legacy system (perhaps an older mainframe EAP) to a brand new EAP platform. A-MQ or Active Message Queue handles messaging/data being passed between applications and includes intelligent routing/handling of critical messages along with certainty of delivery and audit trails. A basic application of A-MQ could be seen in embedded devices, such as passing GPS/telemetry information back to an operations team, able to handle messages that vary in priority and may have to deal with areas that have poor connectivity.
What types of storage does Red Hat provide?
We have both Ceph and Gluster storage products. These cover the majority of enterprise storage needs ranging from simple unstructured data stores to those required for complex OpenStack environments.
