Golgi bodies

recieves proteins and materials from the ER, packages them and distributes them

Vacuoles

stores food, water, wastes, and other materials ( ill store anythng HINT vacuum bags)

Ribosomes

Assembles amino acids to create proteins ( i make "some" nice proteins)

Chloroplasts

Captures energy from the sunlight and uses it to produce food in a plant cells( make me something sweet to eat)

Nucleus

Control center of the cell; contains DNA (I'm the control center)

Cell Membrane

Controls what comes into and out of a cell; found in plant and animal cells (How can I remember: Members only can come and go)

Cytoplasm

Gel-like fluid where the organelles are found ( How i remember: Sail through my plasma)

Endoplasmic Reticulum

Has passageways that carry proteins and other materials from one part of the cell to another (im a transpotER)

mitochondria

Produces the energy a cell needs to carry out its functions (I am a "mighty" power house)

Cell Wall

Ridged outer layer of a plant (How can i rememeber: I'm a brick wall)

Nucleolus

found inside the nucleus and produces ribosomes (I am the little nucleus)

Chromatin

tiny strands inside the nucleus that contain the instructions for directing the cells functions (im a "tin" of information

lysosomes

uses chemicals to break down food and worn out cell parts ( I clean things up! HINT lysol)
