Self Managed Teams

"the dream team", "autonomous work groups" in the work place. THIS WOULD BE THE PINNACLE OF A HIARARCHY IF GROUPS HAD ONE. They can run themselves and don't need a supervisor. They are so trusted that upper management doesn't have to get involved unless a decision is beyond their authority level. Also called self directed or autonomous work groups, teams that make decisions once reserved for managers. They make decisions that were only made for management. Even self manage work teams have to do what the mature work groups do such as always be on guard of group think.

Process Skills

Negotiation skills, each member is a good negotiator, with their allies, opponents, and their adversaries.

Communication Skill

comfortable using self expression, and they often use reflective listening tools.

Cooperative Skill/Helping Behaviors

when someone on the team has to make a judgment they take in consideration what benefits not only them but also the whole team.
