Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS)

National Program of Cancer Registries (NPCR)

collects data on cancer occurrence (including the type, extent, and location of the cancer), the type of initial treatment, and outcomes.

National Vital Statistics System (NVSS)

collects data on vital events including births, deaths, marriages, divorces, and fetal deaths.

Emerging Infections Program / Foodborne Diseases Active Surveillance Network (FoodNet)

estimates the number of foodborne illnesses, monitors trends in incidence over time, and attributes illnesses to specific foods/settings through active surveillance.

Fatality Analysis Reporting System (FARS)

was created by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to provide yearly data regarding fatal injuries suffered in motor vehicle crashes in the U.S.
