Taking an X-ray (dialogue)

Anleitung (Thorax)

Please stand here / stand in front of the plate. Stand a bit farther away / closer please. Put your hands on your hips. Stand straight and face the plate / look forward / look straight ahead. Hold onto the handles. / Put your arms around the X-ray machine. / Push your shoulders forward. Please don't move / remain still now. I'm going to leave the room and ask you to hold your breath while I take the X-ray. It will only take a couple of seconds. You can breathe normally again. / You can breathe out now.

Anleitung (Arm, Bein)

Please take a seat. Please lie down here / on the examination table. I'll just place this plate under your leg / arm. Let me just place the plate under your leg / arm. Please don't move / remain still now. Now please lie on your side / rotate your arm for another image.

Freimachen / Metallgegenstände ablegen

Please, take off your top things / pants / shoes... Can you please remove all metal items? Please take off your earrings / necklace / bracelet / jewellery...

Bleischürze

This is a lead apron. It protects you from the X-rays. I'm putting this lead apron on you to protect you from the x-rays.

Vor dem Röntgen

We need to take / do an X-ray today. Please follow me to the X-ray room. Are you pregnant?

Abschliessen

You can put on your clothes and jewellery again. You can get dressed again. Please, take a seat in the waiting room until the X-ray is ready. The doctor will be with you soon (in five minutes).
