Main idea of Theory of Reasoned Action

1. Behavior is not only dependent upon knowledge and beliefs, but also specific attitudes 2. Emphasizes that attitudes people hold toward a behavior (object) predicts whether a person intends to do a behavior. 3. Thus, the Theory of Reasoned Action, is really just a modification of the Health Belief Model and Field Theory.
