John Rockefeller was on oil company owner and his company was part of history bc he had no competition.
Tell about Immigrants lives once they made it to America
Many lived in tenements with several other families, worked long hours for little pay in dangerous factories, many faced prejudice bc people thought they would take their jobs and were afraid of their religions and cultures they practiced. Many lived in ethnic neighborhoods.

The Bessemer process made it easier and cheaper to make steel. Andrew Carnegie used it and sold the steel rails to companies to make money.
Why was the invention of the electric lightbulb important? Who invented it?
The gas lightbulbs were dim and dangerous and the electric ones invented by Thomas Edison were brighter and safer
Why did large cities grow so quickly? Why did the location of the city matter?🔵
There were lots of jobs available in the city and people moved t the city to work. Transportation routes in and out of cities and waterways and railroads were important ways for goods to get in and out.
Why did immigrants come to America?
To escape war, persecution, poverty, bad treatment and to find jobs.

Working conditions were bad and many workers got injured or killed. They worked hard for little pay and Labor Unions were needed to improve working conditions and pay.
