Saturday night massacre
Happened October 20 1973 this was when Nixon fired Special Prosecutor Archibald Cox and accepted the resignations of Attorney General Elliot Richardson and Deputy Attorney General William Ruckelshaus. The massacre took place due to the investigation of the Watergate break in and when Nixon wanted to cover up the tapes that would show his involvement he tried to fire Special Prosecutor Archibald Cox when his attorney generals did not fire cox he accepted their resignations.
Hearings
Hearings opened on May 17, 1973, and the Committee submitted 1,250-page report on June 27 1974 and which talked about why the burglaries took place who was involved and when they took place
Watergate
Is one of Washington DC's plushes hotels and is where the Democratic National committee office was in June 1972
Resignation
On August 8 1974 Richard Nixon announced that he would resign the next day this made him the first president to ever resign from office this is a Direct result of the Watergate scandal

Richard Nixon was the 37th US president he lead put in office on January 20 1969. In July 1971 he signed the 26th amendment which brought the legal voting age from 21 down to 18.
Burglary
Took place in the water gate hotel on June 17 1972 in the office of the Democratic National Committee. The burglary took place to get President Nixon reelected
