Three common needs of all humans

Relative location

-general description of where a place lies. For example, Lake Erie is north of Ohio.

-includes an area's land, water, climate, plants and animals.

-is the study of the world's people, communities and landscapes.

physical geography

-study of the world's physical features -its landforms, bodies of water, climate, soil, and plants.

cartography

-the science of making maps.

meteorology

-the study of weather and what causes it.

A flat drawing that shows part of the Earth.

Region

A part of the world that has one or more common features.
