When an individual policy or annuity is delivered to the policyowner by hand , a delivery receipt must be used. Must be signed by both policy owner and producer and a copy given to the policy owner and insurer.

Viatical Settlement

allows someone with a terminal illness to sell their existing life insurance policy to a third party for a percentage of the face value. The new owner continues to make the premium payments and will eventually collect the entire death benefit. Proceeds of the viatical settlement contract should be subject to claims of creditors. Note: original policy owner is called Viator new third party owner is called Viatical or sometimes the Viatee
